SCOPE New York’s open-plan design eschews the cookie-cutter art fair clamor for a decidedly thoughtful, polished presentation. Maintaining exhibition square footage and improving useable wall space, galleries will no longer be divided into small booths, but rather, flow beautifully into one another, creating curatorial narratives that encompasses the entire show.

SCOPE’s flagship fair will commemorate its 15th anniversary in a new location: one block across from The Armory Show piers at Metropolitan Pavilion West. SCOPE New York’s convenient and well-appointed venue will host 60 international galleries and a focused schedule of special events, performances and talks to complement its new open-plan exhibition format.

15 years ago, SCOPE Art Show mounted its first edition and changed the landscape of the contemporary art fair industry. The first fair to run concurrent with The Armory Show, SCOPE’s spirit of innovation has consistently forged the way for emerging artists, galleries and art fairs. Attuned to nuances in the market and itself an influential force in the cultural sphere, SCOPE is again poised to usher in a new vision of the contemporary art fair.

Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation presents The Time is NOW at SCOPE New York 2015. Aligned with the 20th Anniversary of Rush as a non–profit providing arts education for youth and career support for emerging artists, The Time is NOW highlights 20 artists who have exhibited at Rush’s Chelsea and Brooklyn galleries. Through all forms of art media, these artists bring attention to current social injustices that plague our communities. The artworks evoke a dialogue creating a platform for social change.

Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation has a 20 year history of providing support to emerging artists, and arts education programming to thousands of inner-city youth. Now, Rush and its Rush Arts Galleries have partnered with SCOPE Art Show to present Rush Projects as a highlight of SCOPE’s Featured Programming. Rush Projects will curate a series that showcases emerging artists of color, offering them incredible exposure at SCOPE New York and SCOPE Miami Beach 2015. Accompanying each project will be a focused social media initiative, aimed at expanding awareness of under-represented contemporary artists.

The 2014 winner of The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Artisan Series, Kristine Mays, shares her perspective of the world through her powerful pieces at this year's SCOPE New York.

Mays’ "Pearls of My Experience" looks at the world through the viewpoint of an African- American person in the United States. These works hold a message of optimism and strength, challenging how we view others and ourselves. Within the confines of the hard metal wire is a sense of resilience and perseverance- the need to push forward and thrive. Each work is accompanied by text written to inspire the viewer towards deeper introspection.

The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Artisan Series is a national search for the next big name in visual arts. It was created to give under represented visual artists from around the country a national platform to expose their work to a broader audience. In 2014, thousands of artists submitted their artworks and exhibited at local galleries during the regional finals. Ultimately, twelve artists were chosen to showcase their work at the grand finale during SCOPE Miami Beach, and just one artist was selected to receive a solo exhibit at SCOPE New York 2015.

FAME is the latest brainchild of Alex Mitow, the entrepreneur behind the NY Times-lauded hot dog joint Los Perros Locos and the LESpace gallery/launchpad on the Lower East Side. Standing for Food, Art, Music, and Events, FAME brings all four aspects together to create perfectly synthesized experiences. During this year's SCOPE New York, FAME will produce a full-service, arts-driven cafe and lounge within the fair. The FAME Café will feature a curated selection of beer and wine along with fresh salads, artisanal pastries, hole-y creations from doughnut darling Underwest, and the signature hot dogs from Los Perros Locos that delighted attendees at last year’s SCOPE.
